2019 Benchlands Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley

The vineyard composition changes a little each year, giving us the ability to make the best wine possible utilizing our best vineyards on the valley floor. Each vintage has a base of Coombsville Cabernet Sauvignon grown for us by a small family farm. We also include Cabernet Sauvignon from Rutherford, and Oakville. The Cabernet Franc is from the illustrious Oakville Station.

This classic Napa Valley Cabernet is at home as a fine dining companion or at the backyard BBQ. Balance and finesse are the foundation, with a complex medley of both fruit driven and earthy notes. There is a hint of licorice, along with cassis, black cherry, dark chocolate, and sweet umami. The well-integrated tannins linger on the finish. This wine is ready now, but you will be rewarded with a little time in the cellar.

A classic expression of Napa Cab, the wine easily pairs with favorite carnivorous dishes such as prime rib, short ribs and filet mignon.
