2019 Cabernet Sauvignon, Rutherford

This vineyard lies in the sweetspot of the Napa Valley, planted on the gravelly bed of an ancient stream, known as the Rutherford bench. The valley floor tends to produce broader, bigger, more lush wines compared to the mountain vineyards.

Another stunning vintage for Rutherford Cabernet delivering all of the familiar dark, rich, ripe aromas of black cherry, plum and boysenberry. Embracing its unique terroir and well drained soil, this part of the Napa valley consistently produces wines with concentration and great depth. Rich and lush upfront, the complex layers of sweet black fruit, spice and black licorice are well integrated with just a touch of toasty oak. Polished at this young age, this richly textured wine finishes with resolved tannins and balanced acidity allowing it to satisfy now, but giving it the longevity to evolve in the cellar.
